What is your return/warranty policy?
For all portable DVD players, our guarantee is that the DVD player will be new from the factory. The particular suppliers that we use also supply major American electronics chains. Units should have a near zero defect rate- However, if there are any manufacturing defects within 30 days of receipt, we will pay for return shipment of the unit and pay shipping for the replacement unit only if we inspect the unit and find that the damage was not from abuse. It is the buyer's responsibility to notify UPS and Dollar Emporium within 1 working day (48 hours absolute maximum) if the unit has arrived with shipping damage. We recommend that you open your package immediately. In the event of shipping damage, a new unit will be sent out to replace a damaged one as soon as we receive the damaged unit and UPS accepts the claim. (Nothing leaves our store without being fully insured). If you decide that you don't like the item (from experience, this will be very unlikely), you must return all items that came with your purchase in undamaged condition with original packaging within 30 days for an 85% refund (100%-15% restocking fee).   Purchaser will be responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.   After 30 days, the unit will be covered only by the manufacturer's 6 month warranty against material and workmanship defects. In the event that the unit needs servicing from such during this time, you will only be required to pay shipping costs. The DVD players have reliability similar to laptops - We expect several years of troublefree life from each unit, as our personal and store display units just keep on tickin'.

All items (except for DVD Players, which are covered under the 30 day return policy above) will be replaced, or you will be reimbursed (your choice), only in the event of shipping damage or manufacturing defects for a period of 14 days after delivery. After 14 days, sale is final.

How much do you charge for shipping?
Shipping charge varies based on Fedex rates + insurance rates if applicable. Insurance is mandatory on DVD players. Shipping charge will never exceed what is indicated on the invoice at the time of purchase. However, Dollar Emporium reserves the right to use an equally expeditious alternate carrier to save you money on shipping lighter items.

When will I receive my order?/When will you charge my card?
Our site allows us to accept regular orders for items if they are currently in stock and charge when the item has shipped. If in stock, items will normally ship out in one to three days. Shipping time will be indicated by the priority level that you have chosen plus the one to three working days that we need to ship the item out. Your card won't be charged until your items ship, except if you pre-order, hence, we offer a discount for allowing us to charge your card prior to shipment. Pre-orders will take approximately 2 weeks to ship. Our margins are very tight, so we are currently offering a $5.00 discount for PDVD888 DVD/TV combos.

Do you have a minimum order?
Yes, we have a $7 minimum order.

What do I do if something I received was damaged?
Contact the carrier within one to two business day to place a claim. Contact us within 48 hours. You will either be reimbursed, or sent a replacement-your choice.

What credit cards do you accept?
Mastercard, VISA, Discover, or Paypal through our secure gateway.

Is ordering online secure?
Yes! We use a secure socket layered gateway with fraud protection, and 128-bit encryption so your that your information is guaranteed safe. Paypal is considered one of the most secure online payment services in the industry, and provides its own protection, as Paypal can only be accessed by the Paypal account holder. Never provide your Paypal password to a third party. When you enter your password, always look for the secure https prefix, and a Paypal domain in the URL.

Why are your prices so low?
There are several reasons:

-Low Overhead-
We are an independently owned, family run business, and do not tack on extra overhead to pay for franchise fees.

-Efficiency- We take pride in doing things right the first time.

-Common Sense Pricing- Unless we can give you a better deal than you can get at your local stores, what's the sense to shop online?

-High Volume- We're happy to take smaller margins than the next guy if it means having happier customers. Happy customers keep on coming back.

-We buy in bulk and receive specially negotiated price schedules. If we can buy it for less, we sell it for less.

-We're just nice guys and gals. (Our kid is a little naughty sometimes.)
